A new homepage, recent projects, and a splash of colour — not bad for a weekend project.
It was cold and rainy last weekend, so I had some time to update my website. I’d been putting it off for awhile, but with the dreary weather, there was no excuse not to.
The main new feature I added was a space to highlight recent launches (fat footer!), with an archive for older projects in my portfolio. I used Jekyll’s collection feature, which was surprisingly straightforward, but kind of fun to learn.
I also made a few design tweaks, like a splash of colour on the homepage, and a lede paragraph for blog posts (which appear on the homepage now).
There are a few things I’d still like to add — like case studies, for example — but it seemed like a good time to launch. Sure it's nothing fancy, but then again, I like simple sites.
